TECHNOLOGY 

This is a modern urban sim, based in present day! Majority of people will have Smart Phones, watches and the lather. All of which, can be traced! All we ask is that each party that is tracing one another, has the consent that they can be located. If a character has been abducted and is missing, Police might need to know their last location! Do they still have their phone on them? Or did the criminal ditch it along the ride! We cannot stress enough, communication and consent! 

• CCTV Cameras have video AND Audio recordings.  
  ALL Sim businesses are equipped with CCTV, this is non-debatable. CCTV devices can be destroyed with the consent of the business owner. Check the business page to see who is running it. 

  • Player Owned Businesses have the option to either have or not have CCTV. 

    • Player Owned Businesses may also have their own recording devices but MUST mention them in the roleplay for them to be applied in any story. ​

• Personal Recording Devices such as Cell Phones, Body Cameras, Ring Recording Devices, Personal Cameras on property etc, can ONLY catch a audio range of 5 meters. Take account of all the noise that would be happening in a city. This is non debatable. If you're unsure, please reach out to the other player to make sure they are okay with being recorded.

When providing logs of CCTV footage, we strongly recommend simplifying the Notecard down to the nitty gritty. Highlight he main points and ALL of the context. Failure to release the data correctly, and fairly, will be seen as a form of god modding. And is a reportable offense.

Any smart rockets, missiles etc are NOT allowed on our sim. This is due to the destruction that they cause and the lack of resources Secondlife provides.

Your weapons can have mods on them. We will highly encourage you roleplay getting such things though. There will be gangs that will run weapons and have the means to such things at a readily available capacity. Maybe even Bribe a probie Officer into giving you a tazer! Endless fun to be had.

The Dark Web is a thing in our world. Many high crime gangs are known to run live streams of disgusting acts! Dark Web traces do take time and are not something that can be done on a moments notice. Please make sure, if you are attempting to locate the location of the streams, that you have consent from all parties involved. 

• As the streamer, please play fair as well! 

• Please keep prices realistic on our dark web. While Onyx Heights offers many different walks of life, the economy is only just now getting stable and is on the brink of collapse. Exaggerated numbers will often be frown down upon and offers likely will not stick.
